The monthly “per capita” tax for “A” members will increase from $21.80 to $23.50. This will take effect January 1, 2007.

Your membership dues have a specific structure. The monthly amount that a member pays is divided into three funds:

   a. International General Fund                           $11.00
   b. International Pension Benefit Fund               $12.00
   c. Local Union General Fund                                $0.50

There will be a certain benefit improvement to the PBF because of this increase. Currently an “A” member in continuous good standing would receive, at age 65, a benefit of $3.50 per month of every year of service prior to 1998, and $4.50 for years earned after 1998. Commencing January 1, 2007 a benefit of $4.50 per month of continuous good standing will be paid for ALL years of service.
