O’Conner was Right!!!

Paul O’Conner was right in the Metal Trade’s endorsement of Carol Shea Porter. Jeb Bradley throughout his tenure has religiously voted against working Americans. Here are just a few of his assaults on the working class.
Bradley voted against a real minimum wage increase. He voted for CAFTA, the illegitimate step child of NAFTA, a law that has devastated the manufacturing sector in this country since the early 1990s. Voted against pension protection for over 120,000 airline workers. Voted with Wal-Mart that the labor department must give them a 15 day notice before enacting any child labor law investigations. Voted with President Bush on privatizing Federal jobs (pay back to their corporate cronies). Voted with big business to weaken OSHA rules in the workplace. Voted for H.R. 4297, a law that gives a 40% tax cut to those earning over 1 million a year while the middle class received a benefit of about $7 annually.
This irresponsible record against working families goes on and on. When the PNSY was put on the chopping block Jeb Bradley did what he is suppose to do. This issue was a no brain, bi-partisan issue, for all who represent the seacoast.
O’Conner and the members of the metal trades did the right thing by supporting Carol Shea Porter. They are standing with their Brothers and Sisters throughout the state and throughout the country that support candidates who support them. These were the people without the name recognition who actually lost a days pay to stand with the workers of the PNSY (the sea of yellow shirts of support). O’Conner gets it! Once again the Fosters Daily Democrat Editor knows nothing of solidarity and nothing of unions.
