Schiller

We’re doing it again; back in 1984 CT Main had the contract to install a Siwertell at the Schiller station in Portsmouth NH. This was to take the coal off the ships and place it onto the conveyor. The plant had converted from oil to coal in 1984. Several L.U. 490 members worked on this project, some now retired, some still working.
Well now in 2010 Ayer Electric has the contract to install a new Siwertell to do basically the same thing. This plant now burns coal and wood chips. L.U.490 had a total 9 journeyman and 5 apprentices working on this project. Thanks to all of your hard work, you well once again have completed a successful job.
